Last September 1, 2012 was the Italian Pasta And Pizza Making Workshop in Modern Culinaire Academy (MCA). I was one of the lucky bloggers who was chosen to win a gift certificate to attebd the Italian Pasta and Pizza course for free.
It was fun attending the class especially that Chef Dino was one of the chefs who assisted us. We were grouped into 3 members each group and it was a good idea since we can also get to know other students as well, also, a good idea because a lot of the routine would really need a helping hand. We did a lot of kneading for the dough and pasta. It was fun to learn and experience making a pasta and pizza from scratch. And mind you, the fresh pasta tastes better than the dried pasta.
At the end of the day, I learned how to make pasta and pizza from scratch. They are indeed an awesome teachers because they were able to teach someone like me who doesn’t know how to cook. It was really an unforgettanle experience. If I’m only rich then I would really enroll myself to their program. I know they can teach me how to be an excellent cook. I want to learn more from them because I want to experience cooking food for my family. Exceptional food with an exceptional taste. I don’t wanna be a foodie who don’t know how to cook. I know MCA can teach me how to be a great cook.
If I would to rate them base on my experience, I would give them 9 out of 10 stars because. The other point missing comes from time management. Because of the lack of time, if we started on time, they could probably taught us step by step how to do the pasta sauce and more on pizza toppigs. Because for someone who don’t kbow how to cook at all, I need to learn even the most basic stuff. The lack of point is mainly because of not starting on time. Its a big deal because they are still a school and needs to start on time regardless someone is late. We can’t wait for other students because students pay for the tuition and not starting on time doesn’t give justice to the people who paid. Anyhow, I still want to compliment them for preparing the handouts, that is, the copy of the recipe. Still, even though its a cooking school, students can learn by themselves if the school helps them by providing handouts. So for giving out the recipe, I want to say job well done. To sum it up, I will give MCA a 9 out of 10 stars for the short course. Recommended.
