They say it is difficult to travel once you have kids already. It would be impossible to enjoy yourself and have fun, as you’ll always think of them. Concerns include, “Is there any danger in the area? Are they walking too far, getting lost, or too noisy for the ambiance?” Given these scenarios, do you believe you should just leave your children at home whenever you travel?
At some point though, it can be exciting to travel with your children once in a while. Sounds unbelievable, but they can add different fun to the trip. After all, you would still be thinking of them if you decide to leave them somewhere like your parents’ house. They are your kids and they will always be your priority wherever you go. Also, it’s natural that you want them to experience the happy moment you’re in and make it a great memory for you both.
The solution to this, therefore, is to opt for kid-friendly places to travel to in the metro. Here are some suggestions:
Mind Museum in Taguig
Make your children fall in love with science by bringing them to the world-class Mind Museum in Taguig. This educational facility will feed their curiosity on the wonders of the world with its 250 interactive exhibits. You as well! Your entire family would be saying “Science is cool!” on your way home.
Intramuros in Manila
After Science, let’s go to History. Bring the kids along to an early morning tour in the heart of Manila – Intramuros. Visit the Intramuros Visitors Centre by the entrance to Fort Santiago and make sure that you give your children a little background on its history. Let them enjoy the display of old canyons, buses, and other memorabilia.
Nurture Spa in Tagaytay
No list is complete without something from Tagaytay. Visit the Nurture Spa Village and get some fresh air before the next school year officially begins. You’ll definitely love the breeze while your kids have fun at the camping area. Enjoy your spa treatment, as you watch them pitch tent and not do anything hazardous.
Nuvali Parks and Nature in Laguna
Nuvali is no longer just a stopover. It has become a destination in itself, featuring kid-friendly activities and eco-friendly parks the whole family can enjoy. You can rent a bike for as low as 60 pesos per hour, feed Kois for 15 pesos per bag, or ride a water taxi for only 30 pesos per head.
Zoobic Safari in Subic
The zoo is always a good idea when you’re thinking of a place to go to with kids. It offers the best of both worlds – exciting, at the same time educational. Even for grown-ups like you, attractions such as the Tiger Safari Ride, Savannah, Croco Loco, and Animal MuzOOeum are surely fun to see. Zoobic is always open, so you can visit even on holidays.
Ocean Adventure in Subic
Another kid-friendly attraction in Subic while we’re at it. Ocean Adventure in Subic Clark, Pampanga would surely leave your kids wanting more of this marine-rich educational facility. Who’s up for some sea lion and dolphin shows? The trip package even comes with a souvenir photo.
Club Manila East in Taytay
Still too hot in the afternoons, right? It isn’t too late to bring your entire family to one of Taytay’s prime resort, Club Manila East. Worth the travel from Manila especially since they feature activities such as zip lining and kayaking. Allow your kids to enjoy the artificial beach waves as if you’re at the beach while you enjoy these activities!
Every parent claims they want their kids left at home when they travel, but deep down, they wish they can bring them along. For all you know, the traveling mom could be wishing her boys were with her while she was driving a 4×4 truck in Ilocos. Parents just wouldn’t admit and chose the easy and more practical way – to leave them at home with their grandparents or somebody they trust. However, the best way to deal with this problem is to choose kid-friendly places to travel to. This lets the parents like you enjoy your vacation, at the same time, create fun memories with your growing children.
