“I have been to the cross where my Savior died,
And all my life is made new-
In the person of Him I am crucified.
I have been to the cross. Have you?”
– Frazee-Bower
Have you ever experienced sharing someone’s suffering or joy? :15: :yipee: Have you ever felt sad when someone is sad and happy when someone is happy? This is what sharing someone’s suffering and joy. We consider ourselves with the person sharing the same situation and feelings. As Christian we are called to share in the sufferings and joy of Christ. :mwah: This is quite complicated to explain but that sentence felt like the Holy Spirit told me to type it. I don’t really know how I found about that and why I felt it’s something I need to type but as a Christian, I want to share in Christ’s sufferings and joy. I want to. But most of the time we really can’t share in the sufferings, we only want happiness. We are scared.. An right now again, I can feel that it is the Holy Spirit who is dictating me to type this. Compared to my other posts, I didn’t feel this way, it is probably I don’t know how I can express today’s entry that is why He helped me. I am a ordinary person, I am not a nun or someone who will be going to be a nun. I am just a ordinary Christian trying to spread the Good News. And yes, we are called to share in His suffering and joy.. :40: so we can be united with Him.
What remains to be seen is whether our lives show that we really do believe we were united with Christ in His death and resurrection. Our confession of faith must be more than a memorial statement. It must show that we have put away our old life of sin and have set our mind on things above. – Mart De Haan (Our Daily Bread 2012)
