“We take delight to read God’s Word.
we say, ‘Ah, yes, it’s true!‘
But it’s of little use to us
Unless His will we do.”
– D. De Haan
Nowadays, everyone seems to be in hurry, from students who procrastinate with requirements and from parents who is very busy. :101: Most often than not, we don’t know when to go or not the go. And adults has the feeling of beating the red light always. :110: What does this traffic signal do anyway? Is this a hindrance or a guide? Today’s entry simple deals with following signals. Not only the traffic lights :35: but the signals of life as well. this signals are not hinderance, :4: they are guide. Guide that God made for us. Admit it or not, when we are doing something wrong, we don’t stop until something bad happens. :argh: Do we always have to wait for something bad for us to learn our lesson? :93:
The Scriptures too have some “red lights” that should control our lives as Christians. They are prohibitions against envy, pride, hatred, jealousy, laziness, irreverence, lust and selfishness (Our Daily Bread 2012) Although we don’t notice, the Holy Spirit is always there to warn us and give us a signal, by that time we should know that we need to stop. :71: Yes, sin is inevitable nowadays, temptations are everywhere but let us all bear in mind that the Holy Spirit is there to give as a signal. :85: We just have to know when to stop. :he: God’s stops and starts are designed to help us. We should be fearful of ignoring a command of Scripture as we are of running a red light. – Mart De Haan (Our Daily Bread 2012)
“The signals of Scripture are meant for our protection, correction, and direction.” (Our Daily Bread 2012)
