“If money is your highest goal,
The thing you long to gain,
Its power will enslave your soul
And cause your life much pain.”
– D. De Haan
“We cannot serve both God and money.” (Luke 16:13) – Mart De Haan :money: You probably heard this sentence a lot of times. I did heard this a lot of times and I have mentioned this a lot of times, I just can’t remember where, but I did, probably in some of my journals. :67: Yes, it is true, making money as your goal in life is like making money as your god, :71: you may say it’s not like that but it actually depends on how you treat your money :40: and whether what is your relationship with money. :19: Today’s entry deals with money, reminding us that “Money is a good servant, but a poor master.” (Our Daily Bread 2012) :93: Often, people get too preoccupied with how they will earn money, :ag: instead of enjoying life, they stress themselves to earn more money. :money: Not good. You are spending your precious time and only life in earth earning something you can’t bring with you after death, remember that these are not real treasures. This are just materials that man placed a certain value. :93: The real treasure is your family, :95: spend time with them instead of spending time to earn money, :oh: this will only make you feel the word, “regret” in the end. :oink: Today’s entry wants us to reflect and ask ourselves this question, “what about our relationship with money? Do we use it wisely or does it control us?” (Our Daily Bread 2012) And the big question “is it our servant or our master?” (Our Daily Bread 2012)
