Ever got the experience of being held-up (holdap) or robbed in the Philippines? Particularly in Metro Manila, the capital of the Philippines, this is quite common and happens everyday. :17: As a family, it hurts to admit but its true. They have different styles, robbing, pickpockets, scam, etc. :14: My story is about my friend and my husband’s friend as well, studied before in a seminary school, now studying in University of Santo Tomas, a prestigous school in the Philippines, :70: the oldest existing university in Asia. My husband retold me his story and found it interesting and inspiring. He recently got held-up. Nah, not new. But this one is amazing. The hold-upper asked my friend to give him everything he have, he gave him everything he have, and his pocket has something not all of us have, “PRAYER BOOK.” As instructed by the hold-upper, he gave everything he have, including the prayer book. Not expecting anything from the hold-upper and was just following instruction, something unexpected happen. When the hold-upper saw the prayer book, he gave everything back to my friend. :99: (The whole story may seem incomplete, I will still contact my friend and update the post if necessary, but I stated the important point of the story, hope that is enough. :121: ) He was saved by God, his faith and love for God saved him. :93: This is unusual and it’s the first time I heard this kind of story, not only my friend learned a lesson from what happened, he also taught the hold-upper something. I feel like crying right now, out of amazement and joy. :20: This is really RARE and I don’t know if it had happened before, but it’s the first time I heard it, and this was an experience from a friend so i really affected me. :av: The hold-upper probably believes in God but because of poverty he is forced to robbed but with this scene, he learned something and may probably change his whole life. God is reminding him, and it really touched my emotions.. I hope that the hold-upper would change his ways his living from that scenario and forever changed his whole life. :99: Kudos my friend for teaching me, yourself and the hold-upper a lesson. I hope this will also serve as an inspiration to everyone. :130: I am not telling you to bring prayer book and give tot the hold-upper too, because this may not always work, but what I am telling you is “HAVE FAITH IN GOD, AND HE WILL PROTECT YOU.” God bless you everyone!
P.S.
My friend, can you share to me the whole story? So I can post it here. :85:
